Game Plan
1. Purpose and Objective
To enjoy real life game in a virtual world way.
2. Game Rule
Everybody has to pick one of boxes provided (picked a number from 1- 12).
People would have to wear them in the front (attached it to the stomach) , and solve the puzzle by moving the avatar.
We would see how long it takes.
Moderator : Oversee the whole event, record the event
Solver: Participants that solve the puzzle.
4. Required Skill
Avatar control including moving and flying
Object control including attaching object and editing
Team work
Production Plan
Making puzzle pieces surface by cropping images.
Upload to Second Life and finish the puzzle pieces setup.
Make boxes and put the pieces into the boxes.
Boxes that contain puzzle pieces with numbers would be distributed at the beginning of the experiment.Problem during Event
1. Not enough people coming
2. Confusion on opening the box
3. Trying to solve the puzzle but it was hard to organize people
4. People found that it is difficult to align themselves
Feedback
1. Overall response on the event
People feel that playing puzzle is interesting and like the concept of teamwork.
Some people like the puzzle image, which is Steve Jobs.
3. The challenging part of the event
Most people find that it is difficult to align the puzzle pieces. They also feel on very challenging on teamwork. Some people feel confusing on opening the box.
4. Improvement
People do feel good on event. Most of the suggestion we received are modifying the format of puzzle game so it would be easier to align and play.
